"A relaxing and zen stay in enchanting sceneries"

Gallery, around the house

Holidays rental or guest house with b&b

Tigaïa is located at 24 km from Carcassonne, 5 km from Saissac and Montolieu, on the southern slope of the Montagne Noire with exceptional views on the Pyrenees. This contemporary architect’s house, offers three bedrooms, a secluded heated swimming pool and an amazing garden with its landscaped pond.

You are in Saint-Denis in the department of Aude, in the center of Occitanie and in the heart of the Pays Cathare. From here you can explore “Citadels of vertigo” : Les Chateaux de Lastours, the castle of Saissac, Le Moulin à Papier de Brousses, the last working mill in Languedoc and famous abbeys : Villelongue, St Papoul, Caunes Minervois…

Nearby, tucked away in the forest, are La Prise d’Alzeau and La Rigole de la Montagne which supply water to the Canal du Midi. There are beautiful walks and hikes on foot, by bicycle or horse, as well as lakes and rivers for swimming or canoeing. The Montagne Noire is also home to numerous caving sites such as the Cabrespine chasm, the Limousis cave or the Cubserviès waterfall.

Stretched between two Mediterranean gorges : Montolieu, the village of books and arts with its 15 bookshops (some are well stocked with English books), its galleries, its contemporary art foundation and its festivals. The surrounding vineyards of the Montagne Noire : Cabardès and Minervois produce some surprisingly fine wines. Opposite on the other side, it is the world of Corbières and Blanquette de Limoux the precursor of Champagne.

The medieval city of Carcassonne is just down, in the valley on the edge of the Canal du Midi. And for a getaway on the shores of the Mediterranean, the beaches are 1 hour away.

The natural and historical wealths of the Montagne Noire will never cease to amaze you.
